Task 4. a) The word “MARKETING”can be translated into Ukrainian as:

· маркетинг (комплекс заходів із вивчення попиту й оптимального збуту продукції);

· участь у ринкових відносинах;

· покупка продуктів (як правило, на ринку); закупівля провізії;

· предмети торгівлі; куплені товари.

1) бренд-маркетинг, маркетинг торговельної марки (діяльність зі створення обізнаності про конкретну торговельну марку на ринку, по наданню торговельній марці належного іміджу);

2) дружній маркетинг (підхід до маркетингу, за якого різні фірми й організації із спільними цілями та інтересами об’єднуються для спільного просування своїх товарів одним і тим самим споживачам, які пов’язані спільними потребами і перевагами; при цьому компанії об’єднують зусилля з пошуку споживачів, які мають певні потреби, а потім самостійно пропонують їм свої товари – наприклад, Кока-Кола і система ресторанів Макдоналдс);

5) маркетинг окремої події (ситуація, коли спонсорські або які-небудь інші засоби вкладаються у те, щоб якомога більше людей відвідали той чи інший захід; систематична організація заходів як платформи презентації товару (послуги) для того, аби з допомогою емоційного впливу активізувати увагу цільової групи до товару (послуги) (наприклад, організація фірмою свята з конкурсами, призами і безкоштовним роздаванням зразків продукції);

6) політичний маркетинг, маркетинг політичних кандидатів (маркетинг, який використовується у політичній боротьбі; характеризує діяльність зі створення, підтримки й зміни ставлення громадськості до конкретних політичних діячів і партій);

 

7) соціальний / суспільний маркетинг (пропаганда соціальних програм та ідей, таких як охорона оточуючого середовища, безпека на дорогах, планування сім’ї, економія енергії; розробка, впровадження у життя і контроль за виконанням програм, які мають за мету досягнути сприйняття цільовою групою суспільної ідеї, руху або практики);

8) цільовий маркетинг (розмежування сегментів ринку, вибір одного або декількох із цих сегментів, і розробка товарів та комплексів маркетингу у розрахунку на кожний із відібраних сегментів)?

· DESIRE or NEED? A need is usually stronger than a desire: it is usually something which you feel you must have, not just something that you would like; when it is used in negative sentences, however, it can mean something that you don’t want: She had no more need of me (= did not want me any more). · DESIRE or WISH? When it is used alone, desire only suggests a slightly stronger feeling than wish. However, desire is often used with adjectives such as deep, great, urgent, burning, insatiable and overwhelming, expres­sing a much stronger feeling; wish is not often used with these adjectives. · NEED or URGE? Both these words often describe feelings that seem to come from the body rather thanthe mind: A / an biological / instinctive / primitive need / urge.   However, needs are usually feelings that are shared by a lot of people and are easy to understand and accept; an urge may be less easy to understand and something that you try to prevent yourself from doing or expressing: She felt a violent urge to laugh, but suppressed it, with difficulty.

These words are all used about sending goods to customers. · Distribution involves arranging for a product to pass from one business to another until it reaches somewhere, for example a shop / store, where people can buy it. The series of businesses is the distribution chain and a particular business or place where the goods are finally sold is a distribution channel: Our main distribution channels are convenience stores and the Internet. · Logisticsinvolves physically collecting, transporting and delivering goods. These responsibilities are often given to a transport company: FedEx handle the logistics. · Deliveryinvolves giving the goods to the customer: Allow up 3 weeks for delivery. Our terms are cash on delivery (= you pay when the goods arrive). · Dispatch refers to the process of goods leaving a factory or office: We check all orders before dispatch. The date of dispatch has been changed.
