Covent Garden, Picadilly Circus, Soho and Leicester Square are areas where you will find the widest choice of eating places. Kensington and Chelsea boast a good range of restaurants, and the Docklands area, east of the City, also has some stylish establishments.

The restaurants offer a high standard of cooking, value of money and an enjoyable evening out, and represent a huge range of styles and prices. They are spread across the main tourist areas.

Several pizza and pasta chains serve decent meals in branches across the city, and some pubs serve a range of food from simple snacks and standard British dishes to exotic and popular ethnic dishes.

French-style café-brasseries are catching on and a number of coffee houses – patisseries are worth a visit. Otherwise, you can grab a quick, cheap snack from a pizza stand or sandwich bar.
