Course Aim:

To provide students with conceptual processes and tools so that they can understand the human and group behavior in organizational settings and to develop job-relevant skills that have critical importance. After this course, the student will be able to Define personality, and types of personality; identify attitude components and the relationship between attitudes and behavior; distinguish between job-related attitudes and their importance for organizations; describe perception and the factors affecting perception; explain groups and work groups; distinguish groups from teams, explain the group development stages and group behavior; identify communication in organizations; describe the communication process and group decision making techniques; identify motivation theories and their applications in management; describe the relationships among power, politics, and leadership; identify leadership theories; describe conflict process and conflict handling styles.
