Music in our life
It is difficult to live without music. We hear music everywhere: in the streets, at home, over the radio and on TV, in the shops, in the parks, in the concert halls, at the seaside, even in the forest and on our mobile phones. People can’t live without music. We like to listen to music, we enjoy dancing to music, we play musical instruments and sing songs. Some people are interested in music very much. Children can learn at music schools. Music is a combination of many sounds: short and long, weak and strong. Music reflects and influences our mood and emotions. There are such kinds of music: folk, classical and modern (or pop music). Some people prefer folk music. Every country has its folk music because it is the music of the people. Sometimes it is gentle and soft; sometimes it is loud, violent or exciting. Others are fond of classical music. But most young people like modern music. They attend the concerts of their popular groups and singers, watch them singing on TV or listen on their tape recorders and Walkmans. They buy cassettes, discs and music magazines. They listen not only to our popular singers but the foreign songs as well.
