The Security Council,
Bearing in mind that proliferation of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons, as well as their means of delivery, constitutes a threat to international peace and security, Emphasizing the importance of political and diplomatic efforts to find a negotiated solution in regard to the Jordan issue, and noting that such a solution would benefit nuclear non-proliferation elsewhere, Underscoring the importance of a coherent, comprehensive and coordinated approach encompassing governance, security, humanitarian, human rights and developmental aspects to respond to the threats to peace and security across the Middle East region, Calling to establish a coordination platform under the United Nations aegis to seek the solution and maintain security in the Middle East, Recognizing the importance of strengthening cooperation with the Organization of Islamic cooperation in the maintenance of international peace and security, Recalling that all obligations under international humanitarian law must be respected in all circumstances, Acting under Article 41 of Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations, 1. affirms that the nuclear bomb stolen in Pakistan was transferred to Jordan which is part of the NPT; 2. calls upon the UN members to suspend on transactions with Jordan while the bomb is located on its territory; 3. calls upon Jordan to cooperate with international community and pass the nuclear bomb to the international body established in conformity with this resolution; 4. decides to continue investigation to find the evidence of the incident; 5. calls on all States and their security authorities to cooperate with the UN; 6. decides that the UN peacekeeping forces shall be deployed in Pakistan to guarantee the security and safety of nuclear weapons on the territory of Pakistan; 7. decides to remain actively seized of the matter.
