Возвратные местоимения / Reflexive Pronouns

Возвратные местоимения образуются от притяжательных местоимений прибавлением - self в единственном числе и - selves во множественном числе.

Возвратные местоимения употребляются в предложении для того, чтобы указать, что предмет, названный подлежащим предложения:

1. сам совершает действие
2. сам совершает действие и испытывает его на себе

Например:

I wrote this letter myself. - Я написала это письмо сама.
He washed himself. - Он умылся (Буквально: Он умыл себя)
