Affirmative form
Past Simple Passive is formed by the verb ‘be’ in PastTense was/ were and the Past Participle (Vз). I was told, he/ she was told, we/ you/ they were told. Examples: 1 Current generating the magnetic field was known as excitation current. 2 The passengers were asked to open their baggage. 3 The magnetic field strength was controlled by a voltage regulator. 4 I was asked to fill in blankets.
Negative form Negative form is by was/ were + not + Past Participle (Vз). I was not told, he/ she was not told, we/ you/ they were not told. Task 1Complete negative sentences. 1 Our factory was often visited by foreign customers. 2 Some questions were discussed at the meeting. 3 Two antennae were required, which are known as the loop antenna and the sense antenna. 4 Documents were signed by the director and the accountant. 5 The steamer was unloaded.
Interrogative form To form questions, we put was/ were before the subject.
