Listen to the dialogues and do the task ‘ Mark the correction techniques the teacher uses in the dialogues you hear.’ (a table) individually. Which correction technique you found the most effective and why. Think of advantages and disadvantages of each type of correction. Sample Correction Techniques Act out dialogues: Card 1 T: Valia, who is a penniless man? S1: A man which not has any money. T: No, no, a man who doesn't have any money. S1: Yes. ' Card 2 T: Valia, who is a penniless man? S1: A man which not has any money. T: Not which not has, but who doesn't have. Repeat, please. S1: Who doesn't have. T: Good. Card 3 T: Valia, who is a penniless man? S1: A man which not has any money. T: No, that's wrong... Vera? S2: A man who doesn't have any money. T: Yes, that's right. Card 4 T: Valia, who is a penniless man? S1: A man which not has any money. T: Oh, yes, a man who doesn't have any money. And who is a rich man? S1: A man who has a lot of money. T: That's right. Card 5 T: Valia, who is a penniless man? S1: A man which not has any money. T: (with rising intonation) Which? S1: Who. T: That's right. Why not which? S1: Because we are speaking about a person. T: Good. Anything else? S1: (Silence.) T: Can anybody help? S2: Doesn't have. T: Good. Valia, repeat, please. S1: A man who doesn't have any money.
