Text E “Vegetable growing faculty” I study at the Tyumen State Agricultural Academy. It was founded in 1959 as an Agricultural Institute. It got the title of the Academy on 3rd April, 1995. I am a second-year student of the Vegetable growing faculty of the Agro-Technology Institute. Our faculty was founded in 2002. Our faculty trains agronomists. I am a full-time student. The Agro-Technology Institute was established in 2000. Our Institute has a highly qualified teaching staff. At present, there are five faculties at the Agro-Technology Institute. My future speciality is connected with production of high-yielding and high-quality crops. An agronomist should control if the soil suitable for cultivation of vegetables and fruit. The soil is the basis of agriculture. Enough food for all the people can be grown if there is sufficient good soil for crops to produce high yields. An agronomist is a technologist of agricultural production. His tasks are to obtain high yields of crops. He should also plan and work out the scheme and methods of producing high-yielding and ecologically clean plants. All these problems should be of great concern to the agronomist. The modern state of agriculture requires deep knowledge from specialists. The students of our faculty can use their knowledge while working at the experimental training farm. They carry out their experiments and research work in special laboratories and on experimental plots. On graduating from the Academy, I’ll receive a diploma of an agronomist. I think I like my future speciality because it is very useful and important.
