ACHES AND DOCTORS
1.Share your ideas: Do people always feel well? How often do you feel unwell? Why do people often get ill? When do we start thinking about health? How do we understand that we are ill? 2. Look at these phrases and complete the sentence: „We usually think about health…”
We feel ache when something is wrong with our body. Some part of the body aches. (or pains). ache – тупий, постійний біль; pain - гострий, раптовий біль
3.Labelling . What parts of our body do usually ache? Look at the pictures and label the parts of the body. Use these words: head ear eye foot toe knee ankle nose mouth shoulder leg waist wrist neck chest arm finger elbow When our head aches, we say: ” I have a headache ”.
4. Make up phrases by analogy:
!!! Remember:We can´t say „throatache”! We should say: „ My throat is sore ”. 5. Brainstorming. Where do you usually go when you have some aches? When you have problems with your health? Who works there? What’s the difference between “a doctor ” and “a nurse”? What doctors do you know?
