UKHV GAMET AMD VALID 151400/151800 UКHH- SECN I SECN II 2.4. Airmen‘s meteorological information (Airmet) AirmeTs are aviation weather warnings for low-level flights. They cover the area from the ground to FL100 (3000 m) and up to FL150 (4500 m) in the mountain region. AirmeTs are issued by meteorological watch office when predetermined weather phenomena occur which are not described in SECTION1 of the GAMET. The AirmeT information is composed for entire FIR unless any restriction is given. The AirmeT information is composed with open plain language using the accepted ICAO abbreviations. The AirmeT includes information concerning the occurrence or expected occurrence of specified en-route weather phenomena which may affect the safety of aircraft operations and the development of those phenomena in time and space. The AIRMET information is cancelled if the phenomena are no more observed or do not occur in the given region. It is recommended to disseminate AIRMET to meteorological watch offices in adjacent FIR and to other meteorological offices as agreed by the meteorological authorities concerned.
