Naval Forces (navy) – the branch of a country’s armed forces that fights at sea and the ships that it uses; submarine - a vessel, esp one designed for warfare, capable of operating for protracted periods below the surface of the sea; logistics - the science of the movement, supplying, and maintenance of military forces in the field; amphibious – 1) designed for operation on or from both water and land; 2) relating to military forces and equipment organized for operations launched from the sea against an enemy shore; mine - a device containing an explosive designed to destroy ships, vehicles, or personnel, usually laid beneath the ground or in water; vessel – large ship or boat; minesweeper - a naval vessel equipped to detect and clear mines; airborne – (of soldiers) trained to jump out of aircraft onto enemy land in order to fight; ammunition - bombs, missiles, chemicals, biological agents, nuclear materials, etc., capable of use as weapons; maintenance – the act of keeping something in good condition by checking or repairing it regularly; post exchange (PX) – a shop/store at a US military base that sells food, clothes and other things; electronic warfare - the military use of electronics to prevent or reduce an enemy's effective use and to protect friendly use of electromagnetic radiation equipment;
