State influence: Techsnabexport is a global exporter of the Russian nuclear industry uranium products and services. Techsnabexport was relocated several times from the USSR Ministry of Foreign Trade to the USSR Ministry of Medium Machine Building, subsequently the USSR Ministry of Atomic Energy and Industry, subsequently the Ministry of the Russian Federation for Atomic Energy, and presently the Federal Agency for Atomic Energy. That’s why we can conclude that the state influence was really important here.
Moreover, more recently in 2007, Russian Parliament adopted a law "on the peculiarities of the management and disposition of the property and shares of organizations using nuclear energy and on relevant changes to some legislative acts of the Russian Federation” to regulate this sector. The Russian government also plans to allocate 127 billion rubles ($5.42 billion) to the next generation of nuclear energy technology. So these changes have a huge impact on Techsnabexport’s activities.
